Tax season is officially underway and, if you’re like most of us, you’re celebrating by avoiding it altogether. Unfortunately, this avoidance could cost you hundreds in tax bonuses, which are only given out to those who file before 30 June. If you wait too long to lodge tax return 2010, you miss out!
There are always excuses, of course.
You’re not good at taxes. Lodging is too hard. You don’t have enough time. You don’t have the money right now. And I’m betting all of that is true. But these are bad excuses to not lodge tax return 2010 as soon as possible.
First, it doesn’t matter if you’re good at taxes. E-lodging means that it’s easier than ever to lodge tax return 2010–and to do so at a much, much lower cost! You don’t even have to be good at maths or taxes or whatever to use it. The programs are just that easy and simple.
Second, e-lodging is a time saver! Rather than spending hours pouring over one form, you spend literally minutes. If time is of the essence, than to lodge tax return 2010 online is the only logical conclusion. Time is money, and online tax returns saves you a lot of both.
Third, and most importantly: if you don’t lodge tax return 2010 as soon as possible, you’re missing out on up to $900. You may not have much time or money right now, but to fail to file before 30 June is literally throwing money away. You think the ATO cares when in the tax season you lodge tax return 2010? Nah. They just want the money you owe them at the end. Filing before the bonus deadline is one of the best ways to make sure you get money back–and plenty of it!
So don’t hesitate. Lodge tax return 2010 as soon as you can. Today. Tomorrow. This weekend. Just do it before 30 June or you’re only hurting yourself.

Hi,
I haven’t lodged my tax return yet. Am I still eligible? When is the deadline by the way?
I wonder if doing it around this time would result in loss of about $900 as you mentioned, won’t it?
Cheers.

As for lodging your return, I suggest you do that right away! Our Tax Pack experts are some of the best and can help you with any issues (and get you the biggest refund).

It depends on your situation. I suggest contacting one of our tax agents through this site or a tax agent in your area.
Emma,
If you don’t have your group certificate anymore, you can ask your employer for a copy. If they no longer have it (or can’t give it to you). Otherwise use your payslip and a bank account statement to show how much money was with-held and what your actual after-tax pay was.
